THE WRITING OF IDAHO's BLACK HISTORY
"The Writing of Idaho's Black History" aims to build upon the legacy of Erma Hayman by honoring Black individuals in our community who have made our city a better place to live. Erma Hayman is among many who brought about positive change and increased visibility for their communities. The phrase "Idaho's Black history is still being written," serves as an inspiring call to action, reminding us that we can shape Idaho's history. This artwork pays tribute to those who paved the way and encourages ongoing efforts in community empowerment.
This is for those that came before, and those who are yet to come.
